Chris Pratt Weight: Actor Says He Was ‘Impotent’ and ‘Depressed’ Before Weight Loss

Chris Pratt’s weight loss has done wonders for the “Jurassic World” actor. The hunky star, who is married to actress Anna Faris, says that before he lost 60 pounds he was impotent and depressed, and just generally feeling bad about himself.

Chris Pratt says his weight was about 300 pounds back in 2013 while he was working on “Parks and Recreation,” and that’s when he decided he needed to take control of himself.

“I was impotent, fatigued, emotionally depressed. I had real health issues that were affecting me in a major way,” Pratt told Men’s Health Magazine UK. “It’s bad for your heart, your skin, your system, your spirit.”

Chris admitted that he even thought that his overweight appearance was linked to his comedic skills. “I saw myself in an episode [of Parks and Rec] and in the matter of two moments very close together, I thought, ‘Oh my God, I’m getting fat.’ And then almost immediately I did something else and I thought, ‘Holy crap, I’ve never seen myself funnier.’ And I put the two together,” he explained.

Pratt later went on to detail his weight ups and downs, saying that he had lost weight and gained weight for different movie roles, but one day just decided to get in shape for good and never the weight come back, and hasn’t looked back since. Now, after his huge muscular debut in “Guardians Of The Galaxy,” the smokin’ hot actor is appearing in the summer’s most anticipated blockbuster, “Jurassic World,” which is sure to make a killing at the box office when it opens on June 12. Things are looking good for Mr. Pratt.
