Cleveland Cavaliers: Brian Windhorst On CLE’s Off-season

The Cleveland Cavaliers are coming off a very solid season that ended shorter than expected. Taking the 4-seed in the Eastern Conference, and having a great first year with Donovan Mitchell. Cleveland is now looking to improve their roster this off-season via trades and free agency.  Brian Windhorst recently had an interview with ESPN Cleveland. Windhorst had some very choice words for what he was hearing about Cleveland’s offseason.

What Is Going On In Cleveland?

Brian Windorst was speaking in riddles in his interview as seen on Twitter by ESPN Cleveland. “I don’t have a terrific feel for what the Cavs are doing,” Windhorst said. “They’ve kept their information pretty tight. I have some speculation, there’s a couple of … outlandish stuff that I’m not gonna say right now, cause I’d get in trouble. I wish I could tell you more, and I know I shouldn’t tease you. But there’s one thing out there that I heard that, well, just look on social media this last week and see what you see, and start going from there.” according to Uproxx.com.

What could Cleveland be cooking up behind the scenes? The Cleveland Cavaliers have been linked to free agents such as Kyle Kuzma and Khris Middleton. That would definitely fill a big hole in the Cavaliers’ starting line-up. The Cavs need a starting forward and a 3-and-D type of player. Middleton and Kuzma are both of those things. Brian Windhorst is one of the best in the NBA reporting game. Something big is definitely going down in CLE. The question is what exactly are they planning?

What Do The Cavs Need?

The Cleveland Cavaliers are a very young team. They could benefit from an established player like Khris Midelton. A player with championship experience like Kuzma. Some dark horse players could also be Draymond Green or even Dillon Brooks. Although those players come with a lot of baggage and Cleveland might want to stay away from that.

It will be very interesting to see what happens when free agency finally opens on June 30th. What could Cleveland be planning? Only time will tell if the Cavaliers will be able to bolster their roster enough to make a championship run. Cleveland has a strong young core. Their window has just opened and will be open for years to come. With Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland leading the way for this Cavaliers team, the sky’s the limit. Anything can happen in the world of sports and we will be keeping a close eye on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
