Evan Mobley interview

Cleveland Cavaliers: Evan Mobley Needs To Step Up!

Much like the other Cavaliers, Evan Mobley did not play well in his first postseason appearance. Cleveland lost in five games to a scrappy New York Knicks team. Mobley and Allen were out-hustled and overpowered in the paint on both sides of the ball. Evan Mobley is the X-factor for how far This Cavaliers team can go. Whether it was a lack of experience or just cold feet something needs to change for next season.

Mobley Needs To Take Big Steps

Evan Mobley still had his moments though. We saw flashes of greatness randomly throughout the rough first-round matchup. Moving forward, Evan Mobley will have to show he can be “The Guy” for the Cavaliers next season. Mobley has had two very solid years in the league now. It is not his time to show that he will be a generational talent in the front court. As said by KingJamesGospel.com

The best player on the Cavaliers is obviously Donovan Mitchell. The second-best player is a little less clear. Is it Darius Garland? With his scoring and passing abilities? Or is it Evan Mobley? With his impact on both ends of the court. It could really go either way. The goal for Mobley this coming season should be to make that argument very clear. Mobley needs to be the one who pushes this team from good to great.

Evan Mobley has to make himself more dangerous on offense. The League is aware of what the 7-footer can do on defense, now he needs to become a scoring threat. That means getting stronger. Putting on weight. Mobley has the talent and the basketball IQ to be a dominant force, but does he have the work ethic? If Mobley can put on more muscle and work on his inside scoring even more Cleveland will be a true contender.

Still Time For Cleveland

The Cleveland Cavaliers have done an amazing job of rebuilding after LeBron James left them after the 2018 season. After a few short years, they made themselves a playoff team once again. Cleveland’s window has just opened, they still have plenty of time to compete.

Plenty of time for their young squad to develop with each other and eventually compete for a Championship. It will be very interesting to see how Evan Mobley will grow as a player next season. Will he be able to take that leap in year three? Only time will tell what is in store for Mobley and the Cavaliers.
