Now both teams are looking to fill their benches and maybe a spot in the starting line-ups.
Who Are The Cavs Greatest Opposition?
According to CavaliersNation.com, the Suns could be one of Cleveland’s biggest opponents in free agency. The Cavaliers are looking for a good three and D player. Unfortunately, that is also what the Suns are looking for. The Cavs need shooters and that much is obvious. Cleveland’s shooting killed them in game 5 against the Knicks. With the way Mitchell and Garland can move the ball, they need someone who can consistently make big shots
The Cleveland Cavaliers’ foundation is very strong. Mitchell despite his bad games in the playoffs proved he can be the guy for this team. While Darius Garland runs the offense perfectly. Looking at Evan Mobley, if he can put on some more muscle he could be unstoppable on offense. The same goes for Jarrett Allen. Cleveland has their core locked down for a while still and if they can add one more good shooter to slide in with the starters they will be in an amazing spot!
The Suns And Cavs Need The Same Things
Both the Cavs and the Suns both gave up some key players for their respective superstars. That includes multiple draft picks. Both teams are going into win-now mode and they are going to fight to get the players they want. Phoenix will be a formidable foe in the offseason as they have more appeal to them with Kevin Durant. Cleveland has the money and the leadership to bring in more talent.
The Cleveland Cavaliers will be a good team for years to come. Their window has just begun. This team is young and now they have a taste for playing playoff basketball. They will come out next year despite how the offseason goes and be ready to go farther than this group has ever gone.
Cleveland is ready to be a city of champions once again and it will start now. Mitchell, Garland, Mobley, and Allen now know what needs to be done and they will make that adjustment. It will be very interesting to see what Cleveland and Phoenix do this offseason.
