Cobra Kai Season 4 is officially happening, and fans are dying to know spoilers for what’s next for all of the characters, including the lovable Demetri and popular girl Yasmine.
During a recent interview with Collide, actor Gianni DeCenzo, who plays Demetri on the Netflix series, opened up about what’s next for his characters and the possibility of building a relationship with Yasmine.

‘Cobra Kai’ Season 4 spoilers: Demetri and Yasmine’s love connection
Gianni reveals that while there is a lot to unpack during Season 4 of Cobra Kai, he’s rooting for Demetri to have some good luck. During Season 3, the character fell on some hard times. He’d lost his best friend, Eli aka “Hawk,” and has been taking beatings from the Cobra Kai dojo on the regular.
The lowest point came when Hawk actually broke Demetri’s arm on purpose during a rumble in an abandoned laser tag building. While it was a sad moment for the former friends, things turned around in the season finale.
During another epic fight, Hawk flipped the script yet again and turned his back on Cobra Kai to reunite with his friends Demetri and Miguel as their dojos, Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang, fought the Cobra Kai kids.
Demetri & Hawk are back together
In the final moments of the episode, Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang came together, seeing Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) bury the hatchet to fight their common enemy, John Kreese and the Corbra Kai dojo.
So, what’s next in Demetri’s personal life? Gianni says he hopes it’s a full-on romance with Yasmine.
“I wanna see them become the ultimate power couple. I have this fantasy that with her popularity and his brain, they could rule the world,” he said.
“She could get people on their side, and then Demetri could use his intelligence to take over the world. I definitely wanna see their relationship evolve, in later seasons. Yasmine is a little bit in denial of their love, but Demetri is a stud, so she’ll come around.”
Fans will remember that Demetri has had a crush on Yasmine since Season 1. However, he was always too shy to talk to her. His karate skills gave him a bit of confidence, and their mutual friend, Moon, also helped to bridge the gap. By the end of Season 3, they were sneaky around to make out in the hallways at school, prompting Demetri to tell Miguel and Sam that he was “101 percent in love” with Yasmine.
Will Demetri compete in the All Valley Tournament?
As for Demetri’s karate, Gianni DeCenzo says that his dream is to see the character continue to evolve his skills and confidence enough to compete in the All Valley Tournament.
“I wanna see Demetri compete in the All Valley. I can’t guarantee anything, but I wanna see that.” He added, “I wanna see him evolve in his karate skills. And then, I wanna see him grow that relationship with Yasmine. I think they could honestly be a pretty cool couple. I just wanna see my boy Demetri get more confident in himself,” Gianni stated.
