Cobra Kai Season 4 will offer a look at some new faces. Spoilers suggest that the show is gearing up for the upcoming episodes by casting a few new characters.
According to 11 Alive, Cobra Kai is prepping for production in Atlanta, Georgia. The show will resume filming in the near future as Netflix announced in 2020 that the series would be back for another season on the streaming platform.
‘Cobra Kai’ adding new faces to Season 4
Not much is known about Season 4. However, Season 3 ended with some high drama. Cobra Kai crashed a party at Sam’s house. Sam and Miguel were there with their dojos, Miyagi-do and Eagle Fang, as they tried to convince their friends to team up. However, Hawk, Tory and the gang took them by surprise and started a huge fight.
Tory and Sam faced off yet again. Miguel and his former enemy, Kyler, also engaged in a brutal fight. Meanwhile, Hawk flipped the script yet again and switched sides to join forces with Demetry and his other pals.
The fight encouraged Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) to put their differences aside. The rivals opted to work together and combine their dojos so that they could fight their common enemy, John Kreese.
Sadly, Kreese sank his hooks into Johnny’s son, Robby. During Season 4, Robby’s transition into Cobra Kai will likely be a big storyline as the dojos train for the All Valley Tournament. Sam, Miguel, and Hawk will be taking on Tory, Robby, and Kyler in the tournament.

A lot rests on the tournament, as if one of Johnny or Daniel’s students take the top spot, Kreese has agreed to leave town and quit interfering in the lives of his students. However, he’s calling in backup. In the Season 3 finale, he’s seen calling up one of his old army buddies. The friend has promised him that he’ll do whatever he can to help him throughout his entire life after Kreese saved his life in Vietnam.
It’s unclear how the man will play into the plot, but fans are eager to find out. Sadly, it looks like Season 4 of The Karate Kid sequel series won’t begin streaming until early 2022.
Ralph Macchio updates fans
Recently, actor Ralph Macchio offered an update on Season 4.
“We’re waiting. We have the green light. It’s just a question of when that’s happening. We’re getting in shape. Season 3 was completed when the show was still at YouTube, and we were hopeful and had intentions that if we had a fourth season it would be at YouTube,” Macchio said. “We got information that they weren’t continuing, they were changing their model. So Sony Television, which owns the Karate Kid franchise, asked them not to put the show out so we could potentially resell the show,” he tells Inverse.
The first three season of Cobra Kai are currently streaming on Netflix.
