Dancing With The Stars: Carrie Ann Inaba Says She’s ‘Constantly The Target’ Among Judges

Dancing With The Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba is opening up about what it’s like for her to be the only woman on the judges panel of the show. Inaba admits that she feels unfairly scrutinized compared to the other judges.

Carrie Ann Inaba hits back at Dancing With The Stars fans

Carrie Ann Inaba has been a judge on “Dancing With The Stars” since the very first show. For 32 seasons, she’s sat at the end of the panel and given her opinions about hundreds of dances. Sometimes, she’s applauded for her critics. Other times, she’s booed. However, after being called out by fans recently, she’s speaking out.

“I judge what I see from my perspective,” Inaba wrote via her Instagram story, per The US Sun. “If I just did what other people do, I would have zero value as a judge. But as the woman on the panel, I’m constantly made a target of blame and vitriol,” she added.

However, Inaba says that despite the harsh criticism that she’s given as the only female judge on “DWTS,” she’s learned to live with it. “Be mad at me. I can handle it. I’ve been judging for 32 seasons,” she stated. “But then you better be voting.”

DWTS fans reveal their issues with Carrie Ann

Over the years, some fans have spoken out about why they disagree with Carrie Ann Inaba’s judging on “Dancing With The Stars.” Recently, viewers took to Reddit to share their opinions. One fan claimed that Inaba appears to be “biased” in her criticisms. “She doesn’t hold everyone to the same standard,” the fan wrote.

“She judges with bias and it’s been evident the past several seasons,” another commented. “I wish she along with the other judges were more consistent with that mind set,” a third person stated.

As previously reported by Hollywood News Daily, some fans were angry that Inaba didn’t give Ariana Madix a 10 during Whitney Houston week. Although the “Vanderpump Rules” star earned perfect scores from the rest of the judges, Inaba gave Madix a 9.

The show goes on

Although not all “Dancing With The Stars” viewers agree with Carrie Ann Inaba’s comments each week, others respect her devotion to the show. Meanwhile, the show must go on, and Season 32 is quickly winding down.

Heading into Taylor Swift week, only six contestants remain in the running to win the Mirror Ball Trophy. In addition to Ariana Madix, Jason Mraz, Charity Lawson, Alyson Hannigan, Xochitl Gomez, and Harry Jowsey are all still dancing.

Former “DWTS” pro Maks Chmerkovskiy recently revealed that he believes his brother, Val Chmerkovskiy, and partner Xochitl Gomez have a great shot at winning Season 32. However, it’s anyone’s game as the competition heats up.
