“Dancing With The Stars” season 18 was one for the books. The dancing talent was amazing, and Tuesday’s live finale was no exception. In the all-female finale, Candace Cameron-Bure, Amy Purdy, and Meryl Davis danced for the mirror ball trophy, but who won?
‘Dancing With The Stars’ season 18 winner crowned
After completing their 24-hour fusion dances, as well as watching their former cast members come back to dance one last time during the finale, it was time for the moment of truth.
Candace Cameron had the night’s lowest scores, and was awarded third place in the finale. “I feel like I’ve already won,” she said, not looking surprised that she fell short of the trophy.
Amy Purdy’s partner Derek Hough looked calm and collected as he awaited the results, (Why should he, he’s won like 5 times before, and been in the finals multiple times!) however Meryl Davis’ partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy was nervous, as he’s never the trophy in his 14 seasons with the show.
Maks and Meryl win the mirror ball trophy
Luckily for Maks, Meryl took home the trophy, winning “Dancing With The Stars” season 18, and he couldn’t have been happier.
“It’s just plastic, but it means so much, and to [win] it with Meryl is a dream come true. There’s a reason it didn’t happen before. It’s because I was meant to do it with her,” Maks later said.
