Dancing With The Stars Looking To Replace Tyra Banks As Host In Season 32?

Tyra Banks as host of Dancing With The Stars

Dancing With The Stars” Season 32 will air in 2023, but there may be some big changes happening behind the scenes. Not only has head judge Len Goodman announced that he’s retiring and won’t return for Season 32, but a new host may also be in the cards. Currently, Tyra Banks is hosting “DWTS” after the reality dancing competition decided to fire longtime host Tom Bergeron and his co-host Erin Andrews.

However, many fans have spoken out about Tyra’s hosting abilities and she’s been polarizing for “Dancing With The Stars” viewers. During Season 31, the show added Alfonso Riberio as Tyra’s co-host. Now, new reports suggest that the show may be looking to replace Tyra as host. However, that’s not all. The show may go through a huge revamp with a new host, new judges, and more famous contestants, per The Sun.

Tyra Banks may be out at Dancing With The Stars

According to sources, producers believe that “Dancing With The Stars” needs some changes, including being “more adventurous, original and feature fresh faces.” However, Tyra may be first on the list.

“Tyra has had struggles warming up to the team, contestants and certainly the audience,” the source revealed. “There seems to be a disconnect again with viewers which always raises concerns.”We still get emails and comments about her performance and it is upsetting. The team works extraordinarily hard to deliver the best series every year, but the main focus of fans’ upset is the host,” the insider added.

Are big changes coming to DWTS?

The informant went on to reveal that execs aren’t happy with Tyra Banks’ lack of promotion for the show, as she doesn’t do interviews promoting “Dancing With The Stars,” and often stays out of the public eye when it comes to the series. The show is also said to be looking for a really big name to add to the cast, and are hoping to land an Oscar winner to try to improve ratings. Meanwhile, while the judges are well-liked, they’re also not safe when it comes to the show’s plan to refresh.

The show’s move to Disney Plus may also have something to do with the show’s decline. The source adds that the move was thought to be successful, but returning to ABC would be ideal for many involved. “Fans still love the show, but haven’t moved over as they have a traditional mindset, so already hopes have been raised about a switch back to ABC. ABC did feel like home and there is a desire to get back home,” the insider stated.
