Dancing With The Stars is approaching Season 30, and there is already some buzz that it may include some very special contestants.

During a recent interview with TV Insider, new DWTS host Tyra Banks revealed that she wants Season 30 to be different from regular seasons. This could mean that an all-star season is upon us.

The reality series did an all-star season one time in the past. They brought back

and other finalist to go head-to-head in a best-of-the-best competition, which former Bachelor star Melissa Rycroft won with her partner, Tony Dovolani.

‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 30 may bring back former favorites

The all-stars returned for Season 15, and it’s being rumored that a similar situation could be happening again. Tyra revealed that she wants to see something to commemorate 30 seasons in the ballroom.

“There is something beautiful about doing a retrospective when you hit a milestone year. At the same time, there are so many new viewers this season, and a retrospective may not resonate with them. So, if we do one, it would have to be for those diehard fans that have been here forever, but not make it so ‘inside baseball’ where the new people don’t know what the heck is going on,” Banks stated.

Meanwhile, professional dancer Cheryl Burke has also recently opened up about how the show should handle it’s milestone season. She says she would love to see some old favorite comes back, but there’s a twist. She has a great idea to have a redemption season, where people who shockingly got kicked off, or had to leave because of an injury may get a second shot at the mirror ball trophy.

“We’re coming up to season 30 of the show and I’ve talked to Leah [Remini] about this and maybe we could do a ‘redemption’ season and include people who have had to leave early due to injury?” said Burke.

Cheryl also named the partner she would like to have back in that situation, revealing that she thinks Fuller House star Juan Pable di Pace was kicked off far too early during Season 27.

“Maybe Juan Pablo could come back? We could do a ‘who got voted off too early’ season.”

There are plenty of former contestants who were shockingly eliminated when many believed that they could have won it all. In addition to Juan Pablo, some other recent fan favorites have included James Vanderbeek and last season’s runner up, Nev Schulman.

ABC has yet to announced a premiere date for Season 30 of Dancing With The Stars.
