Jamie Lynn Spears joins Dancing With The Stars Season 32, Plans to Donate Salary
The “Sweet Magnolias” star shared her excitement to join the cast of “DWTS” via social media after being announced on “Good Morning America.” The “Zoey 101” star has been partnered with pro dancer Alan Bersten for the season. Meanwhile, although Jamie is used to being in front of the camera, she says she’s a bit nervous to hit the ballroom.
“I don’t know if one can ever be 100% ready to take on something this big; I didn’t realize what a commitment it is, but it definitely is. I’m ready to challenge myself,” she said on “GMA.” In addition, the actress also revealed that she plans to donate her weekly “Dancing With The Stars” salary to the Sag-Aftra and WGA, who continued to strike in Hollywood.

Britney Spears fans speak out about Jamie Lynn’s DWTS casting
Over the years, Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears have had a rocky relationship. The sisters have said things about one another in the media. Many Britney fans have also accused Jamie of using her sister for fame. Currently, Britney is in the spotlight for her unusual social media posts, divorce from Sam Ashgari, and her upcoming memoir. Of course, fans had plenty to say about Jamie Lynn’s big “DWTS” news.
“She better not dance to ONE Britney song do you hear me?” one fan tweeted. “Good luck with the public votes,” another stated. “How many time do you guys think Britney Spears name can be mention [sic]?” another commented. “Yea I’ll pass, can barely stand her on Sweet Magnolias and not a fan of how she treats her sister,” another said.

In addition to Jamie Lynn Spears, there have been two other big cast reveals. “Vaunderpump Rules” star Ariana Madix has signed on to try her luck at ballroom dancing. In addition, most recent “Bachelorette” star Charity Lawson is also strapping on her dancing shoes for the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, “Dancing With The Stars” Season 32 will also include Julianne Hough teaming up with Alfonso Ribeiro to co-host. This move came after Tyra Banks left the show after just two seasons. Of course, head judge Len Goodman will also be absent from the ballroom. Goodman announced his retirement in Season 31 and died a few months later.
