According to The Examiner, Danica McKellar turning 40 shocks many of her fans who watched her grow up as Winnie Cooper on “The Wonder Years.”
The character, which put Danica on the map, is a favorite among fans who watched weekly on “The Wonder Years” as the show’s character learned life lessons and fell in love with Winnie Cooper.
Danica McKellar’s Impressive Resume
Since her stint on the show, Danica McKellar has earned a degree in mathematics from UCLA, written a series of books encouraging young students, especially young girls, to get interested in math, appeared on a season of “Dancing With The Stars,” and was partner with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, where she was eliminated in week 8, and also guest starred on popular TV show “How I Met Your Mother.”
In addition to turning 40, the past few months have been busy for McKellar as she married her longtime love, Scott Sveslosky, back in November.
It looks like Winnie Cooper is all grown up, and fans can’t wait to see what she’ll do next. Perhaps she’ll land another TV gig and play the mother of a character who is just as beloved as Winnie Cooper still is today.
