“Days of Our Lives” has thrown some major twists and turns at fans in the past. However, when Blake Berris showed up in Salem as Everett Lynch and not his former character Nick Fallon, fans smelled drama. Spoilers now suggest that Everett is much more than just the former partner of Stephanie Johnson and Jada Hunter. He may actually have a very strong connection to one forgotten iconic character.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Is Everett Lynch the long-lost son of Don Craig?
Several decades ago, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) married her first Salem husband, Don Craig (Jed Allan). The two were madly in love and eventually got pregnant. They welcomed a son together, whom they named Don Jr., or DJ for short. However, in one of the most shocking and heartbreaking moments on “Days of Our Lives,” the baby died from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
The death of their son tore Don and Marlena apart, and he blamed his wife for his child’s passing. Things got so bad between the pair that they ended up divorced. However, they remained friends after their split. Don stayed in Salem for a while after his marriage to Marlena was over. However, his disappearance is one of the most memorable on the show. One day, Don went out to mail a letter, and he was never seen or heard from again.
Is DOOL bringing Don Craig’s legacy back to Salem?
So, where did Don Craig go? Did he leave Salem and start a new life? Perhaps he met someone else and had another child. Now, fans are speculating that Everett could be that child. This would be a wild twist that fans didn’t see coming.
In fact, many current “Days of Our Lives” viewers likely don’t even know who Don Craig is, let alone remember his marriage to Marlena. However, the longtime fans would certainly appreciate the call back from decades ago. Having Everett be Don’s son would also be a great way to honor the character, who was written off the show in such a bland way.
Although fans likely won’t be seeing Don return to Salem, as Jed Allan tragically died in 2019, the show could always recast the role. In addition to Everett’s paternity secret, seeing Marlena reunite with Don after all these years could be an interesting storyline to explore for the sudser.
For now, “Days of Our Lives” fans will simply have to wait as Everett’s story unfolds with each passing episode.
