“Days of Our Lives” likes to keep in in the family. The soap recently recast the role of Theresa Donovan with none other than Emily O’Brien. Of course, this was surprising as O’Brien had been portraying the role of Gwen since 2020. Now, another former “DOOL” actor is headed back to Salem. However, this time he’s playing a totally different role.
Blake Berris returns to Days of Our Lives in a brand new role
New “Days of Our Lives” fall and winter spoilers reveal that actor Blake Berris is back in action. While Blake is best known for portraying the role of the devious and devilish Nick Fallon on the soap, he’s back in a new role that seems to have been tailor-made for him. The latest “DOOL” news reveals that Berris will be playing a character named Everett, who is revealed to be the former husband of Jada Hunter. Of course, something seems very off about Everett, and it looks like he may have an evil side to him, much like Nick. In addition, it seems that Everett may also have a strong connection to Stephanie Johnson as well. Possibly an ex-boyfriend?
This casting call is a great way to bring Berris back to the sudser without resurrecting Nick Fallon yet again. Of course, the actor is excited to be back on “Days of Our Lives,” and as a living character no less.
Berris reveals his thoughts on his new DOOL character
“Everett is a huge departure from Nick Fallon and a total dream come true to play as an actor. This story is a wild ride so buckle your seatbelts. I would freak my wife out while she was driving bc I was so shocked reading scripts,” Blake Berris wrote of his new character via Instagram. “Thank you to all the fans for giving me such an incredibly warm welcome back to the world of daytime. You are the life blood of Days of our Lives and I love you all. 💋 special shouts to Abigail Klein, Billy Flynn, Elia Cantu, Galen Gering, Greg Rikaart, Bill and Susan Seaforth Hayes and Deidre Hall for being such fantastic costars,” he added.
For fans who may not remember Berris’ former role as Nick, the storyline was a doozy. Nick came to Salem as a member of the Horton family. He was immediately taken in by Julie and Doug, and stuck up a romance with Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus). However, Nick soon turned to the dark side and began dealing in illegal activity. He also found himself a bit obsessed with Gabi. When he tried to attack his former love, Gabi hit him over the head with a rock and dumped his body into the river with the help of Kate Roberts and Sami Brady.
However, when Nick returned to Salem alive and well, Gabi freaked out. She eventually shot and killed Nick, and later did prison time for the murder. Since his death, Nick has been brought back from the dead and even seen in the afterlife. However, this time around “Days of Our Lives” fans will get to see Blake Berris portray a living character. Of course, he’ll also stir up even more drama in Salem.
