“Days of Our Lives” is getting a brand new cast member. Fans will see a familiar face enter Salem in the upcoming months, and it seems that she’ll be in action for at least a year.
AnnaLynne McCord joins Days of Our Lives as Marin
According to Us Weekly, actress AnnaLynne McCord is joining “Days of Our Lives” in 2024. The initial casting news had some viewers wondering if the star was set to be a recast in the role of Abigail Deveraux. However, that simply isn’t the case. Instead, McCord will be playing a woman named Marin.
The character is described who is described as being very interesting yet complicated. She’s also said to be stunningly beautiful. While many of Salem’s men will be interested in her for her mysterious past and incredible looks, she’ll reportedly have her heart set on one man. However, her love interest is said to push her away for her own good.
AnnaLynne McCord has reportedly signed a one-year contract with the soap opera. So, “Days of Our Lives” fans will seemingly get to know her new character very well. However, there are still so many unanswered questions. The biggest will obviously be, who is Marin’s love interest? There are a number of options.

If the rumors about Abigail returning are false, Chad DiMera is a possible love match for Marin. However, others like Stefan DiMera, Alex Kiriakis, Harris Michaels, EJ DiMera, and others are also possible romantic partners for the character.
Fans will likely recognize McCord for her work in movies and on television. She’s best known for playing the role of Naomi Clark on the “90210” reboot from 2008 to 2013. However, she’s also held roles on shows like “Dallas,” “The Night Shift,” and “Power Book III: Raising Kanan.” She was also seen in the 2023 film “Condition of Return.”

Meanwhile, the writers strike of 2023 has impacted “Days of Our Lives.” While production wasn’t forced to shut down, temporary writers were brought in to fill the void. Fans have recently called out the storylines and stale character development.
