“Days of Our Lives” fans see characters come and go more often than they’d like to. Recently, Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) exited Salem, leaving her husband Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) behind. Sadly, this is said to lead to the end of their marriage. So, what’s next for Stefan?
Days of Our Lives spoilers: Stefan and Gabi headed for divorce?
“Days of Our Lives” spoilers suggest that Stefan and Gabi’s marriage is headed for a heartbreaking end. Viewers shouldn’t be surprised if they see signing divorce papers in the near future. While it’s sad to see the end of a fan-favorite couple. This does free up Stefan for a potentially big, new storyline. So, who might Stefan set his sights on next?
The soap opera recently cleaned out and got rid of several actors. Characters such as Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin), Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison), and Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian) have all left the canvas. This doesn’t leave a lot of options for Stefan in his romantic life. However, there are a few possibilities.
Who should Stefan date next?
Although Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) is currently scrambling to keep Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) in her clutches, fans know that’s not going to work. Sloan seems like Stefan’s type. She’s beautiful, powerful, smart, and willing to do whatever it takes to get what she wants. Much like Gabi, Sloan could prove to be a good match for Stefan.
Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) is another option for Stefan. This is a bit awkward as Ava was previously in love and engaged to Stefan’s late identical twin brother, Jake. However, Gabi also had a relationship with Jake. Ava seems hung up on Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) for now. However, things can change very quickly in Salem.
In the past, Stefan also had a fling with Melinda Trask. Now that her love interest, Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) has been killed off, perhaps the two will reconnect.
Marci Miller’s rumored return could ignite a new feud between Stefan and Chad
There is also a chance that “Days of Our Lives” will introduce a new character or bring a familiar face to mesh with Stefan (The son of notorious villain Stefano DiMera). In addition, there are rumors that Marci Miller may return in a new role. The character would be Abigail Deveraux’s doppelganger. Perhaps that character could fall for Stefan. This would create even more tension between brothers Stefan and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and ignite a new storyline.
It will take a while for “Days of Our Lives” to unfold Stefan DiMera’s future. However, fans will be watching carefully for a Gabi recast or a brand new love interest for the fan-favorite character. Either way, Stefan likely won’t be single in Salem for too long.
