“Days of Our Lives” fans have been watching so much drama unfold in Salem. The death of Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) has so many characters on edge. It’s also brought back beloved former Salemites such as Theresa Donovan (Jen Liley) and Chelsea Brady (Rachel Melvin). Meanwhile, many of Salem’s couples are on the edge of destruction. Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) and Xander (Paul Telfer) will likely split after Xander finds out that Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) is pregnant with his child. This will also leave Rex (Kyle Lowder) out in the cold. Meanwhile, Shawn and Belle seem to be headed for a dramatic end as well.
In addition to all of that, “DOOL” fans are also watching one beloved character descend into what could be a bit of a mental breakdown. EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) appears to be headed down a dark road. EJ is currently still struggling with the death of his mother Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk). However, it was recently revealed that Susan may still be alive.
Days of Our Lives: Is EJ DiMera descending into madness?
All the while, EJ is looking to get revenge on Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), who is responsible for Susan’s death. EJ is hoping to hire someone to kill Ava. He’s also been having some disturbing dreams about his mother. EJ even went as far as to pull a gun on Xander. With EJ in such a fragile mental state, things will only seem to get worse for him. Even if he does reunite with his mother.
As “Days of Our Lives” fans already know, EJ is currently engaged to Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). The couple are expecting a child together. However, the baby’s father is actually Nicole’s ex-husband Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan). Nicole, EJ, and Eric are all in the dark about the paternity secret. However, it is only a matter of time before the secret gets out. Eric and Nicole will likely get back together, and EJ will be left to pick up the pieces.
EJ could be heading into a new villain era
EJ is a huge fan-favorite character among “DOOL” fans, and seeing him struggle isn’t always easy for viewers. However, this could send EJ into a new villain era. Since the deaths of Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) and Victor, Salem needs a new villain. This could be the start of a very interesting new path for EJ. At least for the foreseeable future.
