Days of Our Lives Needs To Bring These Beloved Characters Back To Salem

Days of Our Lives” has its ups and downs just like any other soap opera. There are times of intense drama that keep fans on the edge of their seats. Murder mysteries, crime sprees, relationship issues, medical emergencies, and more have plagued the town of Salem for decades. Meanwhile, beloved families, iconic love stories, and heartfelt moments have always been the backbone of the sudser. Now, as a plethora of characters are set to exit the show, it could be the right time to bring back some beloved characters.

Days of Our Lives needs to bring back some fan-favorite characters ASAP

As previously reported by Hollywood News Daily, “Days of Our Lives” is cleaning house. It appears that the soap is losing several cast members, including Martha Madison and Camila Banus. Sadly, their departures leave room for some fresh blood. Although huge casting news reveals that the sudser has aged the characters of Tate Black and Holly Jonas, it may not be enough. Fans want to see more entertaining and romantic storylines as well. That’s where some of these former beloved characters would come in clutch.

Back in the height of “DOOL” fame, there were so many iconic storylines. Scenarios such as Carly being buried alive, Marlena’s original possession, and Stefano’s wrath had fans glued to their TVs. Things are different in Salem now, but fans still want to see some nostalgia. Bringing a character like Brandon Walker back could do just that. Brandon has several ties to Salem, including his sister Nicole and his father Abe. Seeing him return to shake things up and possibly hook up with one of Salem’s single ladies would be epic.

The return of legacy characters could make DOOL more interesting

Recently, “Days of Our Lives” fans watched Chelsea Brady come home to Salem for the funeral of her grandfather, Victor Kiriakis. Chelsea touched on a bit of her story post-Salem, revealing that she’s still with Max Brady. Chelsea also added that she and Max share a son, Isaac, named after her late younger brother (who she is responsible for killing). Chelsea and Max could offer some more relationship and couple storylines to those fans wanting more romance in Salem. Along those lines, Melanie Jonas would also be a nice return to the show.

Meanwhile, the Kiriakis clan has been featured heavily on “DOOL” over the past year. Previously, it was the DiMera family that seemed to have so much drama (and they still do). However, some fans miss the days of the DiMera dynasty. Bringing more devilish DiMeras into the mix could make for interesting stories. Perhaps EJ and Sami’s daughter, Sidney, needs to return home to stir up some trouble. Possibly, a Sami 2.0 situation?

Fans can’t wait to see what’s in store for “Days of Our Lives.” Looking ahead, anything is possible, and bringing back some beloved characters would likely be just the thing to get fans extra excited about the upcoming storylines.
