However, another beloved character may be getting ready to bite the dust. “DOOL” spoilers and speculation is running wild that Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison) will be the next character to die.
As previously reported by Hollywood News Daily, Martha Madison has announced her exit from the soap opera. The actress revealed that she chose to leave the sudser when Belle wasn’t getting enough meaningful storylines. Instead of being a background character in Salem, Madison opted to leave the role behind. However, what does this mean for Belle?

Fans know that Belle is a very important character in the Salem landscape. She is the only child of iconic super couple John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). She is also the namesake of Brady Black’s late mother, Isabella Toscano. However, “Days of Our Lives” hasn’t shied away from killing off major characters in the past. To make matters worse, speculation has Belle dying at the hands of the love of her life, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer).
Currently, Shawn is going through a lot in his life. He is still dealing with the fact that he put his father, Bo Brady (Peter Reckell), in a coma. He was also recently informed that his grandfather, Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston), tragically died in a plane crash. Shawn has been acting irresponsibly, refusing help, and drinking too much.
Will Shawn be to blame for Belle’s shocking death?
Celebrating The Soaps suggests that Shawn may take things too far and accidentally kill Belle in a drunk-driving car crash. Of course, nothing has been confirmed, but if the storyline does come to fruition, it will prove to be one of the most heartbreaking scenes in “Days of Our Lives” history. Shawn wouldn’t be able to live with the guilt of killing his longtime love, and the mother of his child.
Of course, fans would be devastated to see yet another important legacy character be killed off in such a horrific way. After Abigail’s murder at the hands of Clyde Weston, viewers are still not over the heartbreak of the loss.
