“Days of Our Lives” fans have seen characters come back to life over and over again. It’s become a trend on the Peacock soap opera. While some fans love it, others are getting bored with the resurrection storylines. However, rumors are flying that actress Marci Miller is headed back to Salem. Although her character, Abigail Deveraux DiMera, was killed off in 2022, it seems there will be an interesting twist to this storyline.
Marci Miller returning to Days of Our Lives in a new role?
Currently, “Days of Our Lives” viewers are watching Abigail’s husband, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) move on with his life. Chad has fallen in love with Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein). Stephanie has been helping Chad through his grief and also raising his two children with him. Recently, Chad and Stephanie have been getting more serious and even talking about marriage. However, Marci Miller’s return could throw a huge wrench into that plan.
“DOOL” speculation reveals that Miller may return in a brand new role. This new role wouldn’t be Abigail, but the character would be Abby’s doppelganger. Of course, Chad would be drawn to the new Salemite because she looks like the love of his life. Because of this, Chad and Stephanie’s relationship would be in jeopardy.
New storyline is similar to Bo and Hope’s history
If this possible storyline sounds familiar to you, then it’s likely that you’re a longtime “Days of Our Lives” watcher. That’s because it’s very similar to what happened to Bo Brady and Hope Brady. Decades ago, Bo (Peter Reckell) believed that his beloved wife, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) had died. He moved on with Billie Reed (Lisa Rinna). However, when a woman named Gina came to Salem looking exactly like Hope, everything changed.
Of course, Bo was drawn to Gina. However, it turned out that Gina was actually Hope, who was being brainwashed by Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo). It’s possible that Chad and Abigail are headed for the same fate. The soap has recycled storylines in the past, and putting another iconic couple through the ringer would likely have viewers on the edge of their seats.
What happened to Abigail on Days of Our Lives?
Many fans would like to see Abigail back in Salem. Her death was hard for many die-hard “DOOL” fans. The legacy character has been part of the Salem landscape since her birth. As the daughter of Jack Deveraux and Jennifer Horton, she’s an important character. Sadly, the soap opted to kill Abby off in a stunning murder mystery. She was murdered by Clyde Weston in one of the saddest deaths on the sudser.
Now, it seems that we may be getting Abigail back, or at least Marci Miller to play scene partner to Billy Flynn’s Chad DiMera. Nothing’s been confirmed as of yet, but it’s an interesting theory. Meanwhile, “Days of Our Lives” fans can watch all the drama go down weekdays on Peacock.
