“Days of Our Lives” fans are getting used to the constant shuffling of characters in and out of Salem. In fact, it’s become the new normal on the long-running daytime soap. With that being said, we have more news of another arrival in Salem.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Anna DiMera is returning
According to Soap Hub, actress Leann Hunley is returning to “Days of Our Lives” as Anna DiMera. Fans last saw Anna back in 2010 when she was forced to flee Salem due to her part in the kidnapping of Sydney DiMera. Anna is also the mother of Sami Brady’s half-sister, Carrie, who was last seen on the soap in 2012.
So, why bring Anna DiMera back now? Most likely it’s to interact with the character of Andre DiMera, whom she shares a heavy past with. However, there is another reason why Anna could be inserted back into the mix.
More Returns Coming To DOOL
Anna’s ex-husband, Roman Brady, has been without a love interest for a very, very long time. Perhaps Anna’s return to Salem will give “Days of Our Lives” fans a reason to actually want to watch the scenes that Roman is in, and see him doing something besides just police work.
Leann Hunley won’t be the only “Days of Our Lives” alum returning in the near future. Fans will see Matt Ashford back as Jack Deveraux again as well as Jaime Lyn Bauer reprise her role as Laura Horton, mother of Jennifer and grandmother to J.J. and Abigail. Patsy Pease and Charles Shaughnessy will also return as Kimberly Brady and Shane Donovan, the parents of Theresa Donovan.
