Days of Our Lives is heating up. Spoilers for the upcoming episodes of the NBC soap opera hint that there may be a big new storyline with Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) brewing.
Last week, Kristen was seen back behind bars as she spoke with the love of her life, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) on the phone. Brady told Kristen that he was angry at her for breaking out of jail following his near-fatal gunshot wound.
Is Kristen planning the unthinkable?
He also told her that he was unhappy that she was blaming Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) for the incident. Brady was shocked and disgusted that Kristen pointed a gun at Chloe and promised to get even with her.
However, the couple’s conversation was cut short when Susan Banks (also Haiduk) walked into Brady’s hospital room. Susan returned to Salem after having a premonition that Brady was going to get shot. However, she was obviously too late to stop it. Now, she’s looking to check up on Brady.
Kristen was very surprised to hear that Susan had showed up to visit Brady, but her presence in Salem also seemed to give her a big idea.

While behind bars, Kristen’s face lit up as she thought to herself that Susan could be the answer to all of her prayers.
Could this mean that Kristen is going to try to lure Susan to the jail for a visit, only to steal her identity and walk out of the jail under the noses of the guards?
The storyline may sound a bit far fetched, but the two women have swapped places with one another on more than one occasion.
Kristen & Susan have swapped places before
Longtime Days of Our Lives fans will likely remember that in the 90’s after Kristen forced Susan to claim that her son, Elvis (EJ DiMera) was Kristen’s son. After Susan snapped, she locked Kristen in the secret room of the DiMera mansion, where Kristen was already holding Marlena Evans hostage.
Susan then disguised herself as Kristen in order to get close to Kristen’s then-fiance, John Black (Yes, Brady’s father!).
It seems likely that Kristen may try to concoct a plan that would leave Susan sitting behind bars with everyone believing that she’s Kristen, while the real Kristen DiMera roamed free around Salem dressed as Susan.
If Kristen did disguise herself as Susan, she could spy on Brady and find out if there is really anything romantic happening behind he and Chloe. She could also figure out her next move when it came to what lies ahead for her family and her freedom.
Fans may remember, that Kristen most recently dressed herself as Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) in order to walk the streets of Salem, and get close to Brady, before finally being caught.
