“Days of Our Lives” spoilers have already confirmed that John-Paul Lavoisier is leaving the role of Philip Kiriakis, but does that mean Philip is leaving Salem for good? It could be that a recast is in the near future.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Jay Kenneth Johnson Returning As Philip Kiriakis?
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, John-Paul Lavoisier is leaving the role of Philip Kiriakis on “Days of Our Lives,” but Philip could be sticking around Salem after all. Many fans have spoken out about not liking Lavoisier in the role, which has previously been held by Kyle Brandt and Jay Kenneth Johnson.
Many DOOL viewers wondered why Brandt or Johnson didn’t return to the role in the first place. However, the report suggests that it’s possible that Jay Kenneth Johnson was offered the role, but declined to reprise his former character. Meanwhile, now that John-Paul Lavoisier is out, the soap could be offering Jay more money to return to the show.
‘DOOL’ Casting Shakeups
“Johnson’s DOOL homecoming hasn’t been confirmed, but it’s certainly a possibility. Globe suggests that Lavoisier wasn’t pleased to hear that Johnson might be stepping in for him. It seems the potential swap may have led to some anger on set.”
Of course, “Days of Our Lives” viewers know that there have been many casting shakeups over the past few months. Kate Mansi left the role of Abigail Deveraux-DiMera and Marci Miller was recast, Jen Lilley announced she was exiting as Theresa Donovan, and the characters of Belle, Shawn, Summer, and Lani are all leaving Salem in the very near future.
