Days of Our Lives Spoilers Reveal Zach Tinker’s Return as Sonny Kiriakis

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers reveal that actor Zach Tinker is set to return to Salem in the role of Sonny Kiriakis. Tinker replaced Freddie Smith as the legacy character in the past. He went on to join Chandler Massey (Will Horton) as one half of the beloved couple known as “WilSon.” However, Sonny and Will left Salem in 2022. The couple moved to New Zealand with their daughter Ari and Will’s sister Allie. Sadly, Sonny will have a heartbreaking reason to return home.

As August winds down, “Days of Our Lives” will be honoring the life of actor John Aniston and his longtime character Victor Kiriakis. Tragedy struck when Victor’s jet went missing and was later found in the Mediterian Sea. In the days to come, Tinker will be one character who comes back to Salem for Victor’s funeral.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers Reveal Sonny Kiriakis’ Return to Salem

Fans first met Tinker’s Sonny in 2021 when he appeared on the soap opera’s spin-off series “Beyond Salem.” He also played the role in the sudser’s Christmas-themed movie. He later moved to the flagship show, where he became a familiar face and was often at the center of the Salem landscape.

During his time on the show, Tinker was part of many storylines. He was even the person to help discover that Clyde Weston (James Read) had murdered Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller). Sonny is known for being the child of Justin Kiriakis (Wall Kurth) and the late Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans). Of course, he’ll be coming home for the funeral of his uncle Victor, as the two have been close over the years. Victor even made Sonny SEO of his company, Titan Industries, in the past.

The rest of the Kiriakis family, including Victor’s wife Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers), Xander Cook (Paul Telfer), Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), and others will now be forced to mourn Victor’s death. In addition, Hollywood News Daily already mentioned that Jen Lilley is also returning to “Days of Our Lives.” The beloved actress will reprise her role as Theresa Donovan. It appears that Theresa will come home for Victor’s funeral, and may even bring her and Brady’s son, Tate, with her.

“What about Ciara?” one fan asked via Twitter. It’s a fair question, as Ciara is Victor’s biological granddaughter. Of course, fans would love to see Ciara’s growing baby bump as well as her son little Bo Brady Weston, and maybe even her husband Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). However, Ben likely can’t attend Victor’s funeral as Wilson now plays the role of Alex Kiriakis.

The death of Victor Kiriakis is going to be a big storyline on “Days of Our Lives” for the foreseeable future as the town says its final goodbye to the iconic character. Sadly, this will also be like a goodbye to John Aniston. The actor passed away in late 2022 at the age of 89.
