“Days of Our Lives” spoilers reveal that fans are finally getting Theresa Donovan back in Salem. Actress Jen Lilley has officially reprised her role as the scheming diva and will be back on the soap opera so that her character can attend the funeral of Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston), per Soap Opera Digest. Theresa first came to Salem in 2013, and fans couldn’t get enough. Theresa quickly became a huge favorite among viewers with her devious plots and her romance with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf).
Lilley played the role of Theresa for three years before exiting the soap opera in 2016. Theresa was revealed to have left Salem in hopes of keeping Brady and their son, Tate, safe from her drug lord former boyfriend. In return, Theresa agreed to help the ISA and her father Shane Donovan take toen her ex. Finally, after two years away from Salem she returned briefly in 2018.

Since that time, Theresa and Brady have officially ended their relationship. They even fought for custody of little Tate before coming to an agreement. Theresa left Salem with the couple’s son and moved to Los Angeles. Theresa now lives in LA with her mother and father. However, she’s still ready to be by Brady’s side during the difficult loss of his grandfather, Victor.
Since leaving “Days of Our Lives” in 2018, Lilley has done lots of work with Hallmark and Great American Family. She’s also been focused on building her family, which includes two sons Kayden and Jeffrey and two daughters Julie and Jackie.
Jen Lilley returns to Days of Our Lives for Victor Kiriakis’ funeral
Although Theresa won’t be long for the Salem landscape this time around, she will be back in late August. The soap is set to hold Victor’s memorial during the week of August 28, and that’s when Jen Lilley will make her official return. There is currently no word on whether or not she’ll bring her and Brady’s son, Tate, with her. However, fans are hopeful that they’ll get to see Tate for the first time in years. Meanwhile, fans would also like to see Tate and Rachel interact since they’re half-siblings.
“Welcome back. I am open to anything…. however long you wish to stay. Best of luck,” one fan said of the big return. “Such a talent and genuine hearted person. How ever long we have her. Thank goddess!” another tweeted. “Wish she was on contract but can’t ask for too much,” another commented.
Victor’s memorial will likely be very emotional, especially since actor John Aniston died at the age of 89 back in December 2022. The show has already memorialized him. However, this time around will be all about Victor, an iconic character on “Days of Our Lives” for decades.
