Derrick Rose has returned to Cleveland and has reportedly decided to continue his NBA career with the Cavaliers. It was reported last month that Rose, who was on the injured list due to an ankle issue, had left Cleveland and was weighing his NBA future. Now it seems that he’s officially made up his mind.

According to ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski, Derrick Rose arrived in Cleveland on Monday to talk about his plans to rejoin the Cleveland Cavaliers. The team, who is a bit banged up at the moment with Rose sitting out, Tristan Thompson on the mend, and newly acquired point guard, Isaiah Thomas yet to see any action as a Cavalier due to a hip strain, is currently riding an 11-game winning streak.

Rose decided to leave the team to evaluate his life and career, and speculation about the point guard retiring began to swirl online. Derrick had reportedly found himself growing tired of the injuries, and not being able to live up to the potential that he knows is inside of him. The Cleveland Cavaliers organization spoke out in support of Rose during the tough time, with everyone, including Cavs superstar, LeBron James, wishing him well and revealing that he wanted him back with the team.

It looks like LeBron and the rest of the team got their wish. Derrick Rose will reportedly be evaluated by Cavs’ doctors and hopefully be back on the court in the very near future. In addition to Rose’s return, Tristan Thompson is said to be quickly on the mend, and Isaiah Thomson is rumored to be returning to the court in mid-December, just in time for the Cavaliers’ Christmas Day match-up with their foes the Golden State Warriors.

Derrick Rose has missed 16 of the Cavs’ 23 games so far this season, including the past 12 games, in which Cleveland has gone 11-1. Although his injury status is yet to officially be revealed, fans will likely welcome him back to The Q as soon as he’s able to rejoin the team in game mode.
