Sean Combs, aka Diddy, was arrested on Monday after assaulting his son’s UCLA football coach with a piece of work out equipment, Us Weekly reports.
Diddy Arrested For Assaulting Son’s Football Coach
Police confirmed that Diddy was arrested after getting into a physical altercation with suspicion of a deadly weapon, in this case a kettlebell, which is a weighted, heavy ball with a handle used for exercise.
TMZ reports that the hip hop mogul was on the UCLA campus to watch his son, Justin Combs, at practice. Justin is a defensive back for the college team. An assistant coach allegedly screamed at Diddy’s son, which prompted his the rapper to get angry, thus causing the confrontation.
UCLA Head Coach Releases Statement
UCLA’s head coach, Jim Mora, released his own statement about the incident saying, “I’m thankful that our staff showed the level of professionalism that they did in handling this situation. This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved. While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time.”
Diddy being arrested comes one day after Father’s Day, where the hitmaker played in a father/son game with Justin.
