Drew Barrymore sister Jessica Barrymore was found dead in her car at the age of 47 in San Diego, Calif on Tuesday July 29.
Reports reveal that the 47-year-old half- sister of Drew Barrymore was found in her car around 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning by a witness who was suspicious of Jessica’s car blocking her driveway, with a woman in he drivers seat.

Maria Lopez phoned California police officials to report the incident stating that she approached the car to find Jessica Barrymore unresponsive and saying to her.,
“You need help, you need help,”
This story is still developing, but Lopez also revealed that a SoBe energy drink and “dozens of white pills” were said to be found inside the vehicle.
“Her car was parked right here last night around midnight,” onlooker Oscar Sandoval told KGTV ABC10. “I thought she was sleeping or waiting for someone.”
Jessica and Drew, 39, share the same father, actor John Drew Barrymore. Jessica Barrymore was just two days away from celebrating her 48th birthday on July 31 at the time of her death.
Drew Barrymore reveals she did not really know her half-sister
Drew Barrymore released a statement after hearing the news of her half-sister’s death revealing that she and Jessica Barrymore were estranged.
“Although I only met her briefly, I wish her and her loved ones as much peace as possible and I’m so incredibly sorry for their loss,” Drew stated to the Daily News.
At this time the cause of Barrymore’s death is suspected suicide, and an investigation is underway.
Jessica Barrymore, born Brahma Jessica Blyth Barrymore, was the third child of actor John Drew Barrymore with his fourth wife Nina Wayne.
