The Duggar family molestation scandal made news headlines years ago, however, new details concerning the horrific family scandal are being revealed according to Radar Online.
A source close to the Duggar family claims that despite great suffering by the Duggar sisters at the hands of their eldest brother Josh Duggar the girls were taught that they were to ‘forgive and forget.’
Sadly the Duggar sisters had very little choice in the matter and were forced to follow along in whatever family decisions were made by the church and their parents Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar.
According to the Arkansas resident who formerly attended the same church as the Duggar family, Josh Duggar has a bad reputation even as a teenager.
A major reason was the church’s secret that he molested five minors at least two of which were his sisters, the source said. The source claims that the way Josh Duggar’s sisters Jill and Jessa came forward revealing their abuse in 2015 and just how severely the abuse affected the girls.
“Jill was having a really rough day not long after that and she ran into a room crying, ‘Josh did something really bad,’” the source claimed.
“All the girls were just struggling on how to deal with it,” the church member added.
Jim Bob and Michelle dealt with the shocking news by banning Josh and keeping him away from other children within the church.
It is also claimed that the Duggars live in “fear” as they attempted to hire lawyers to cover up the scandal.
“There was a lot of fear going on. Jim Bob would look really sad and burdened whenever it came up,” said the source. Radar previously reported that Josh Duggar was forced to shave his head as a punishment.
Today, it is still something that haunts the Duggar family and something they still feel shames them. Many fans believe that the molestation scandal and the pain each of the victims endured is what may have led some of the family members to stray away from their stern upbringing.
Many of the Duggar family children, now adults with families of their own have veered away from the strict rules that they were raised with such as their form of dress. A lot of the sisters can now be seen wearing stylish and trendy clothes which include shorts, jeans and skin showing tank tops and tees.
Sadly, as the years continue to fly by the memories that the Duggar family molestation scandal grows farther and farther into the past, but, it is a memory that none of Josh Duggar’s sisters or female victims will ever really get past.
