“DWTS” had planned something special for viewers surrounding Season 32 contestant Jamie Lynn Spears. However, her elimination in Week 2 of the competition may have spoiled the show’s scheme to get her famous big sister Britney Spears in the ballroom.
Dancing With The Stars Season 32 wanted to reunite Jamie Lynn and Britney Spears on air
According to OK! Magazine, “Dancing With The Stars” wanted to use Jamie Lynn Spears’ appearance on the show to reunite her and her estranged sister, Britney Spears. The reality TV dance competition had allegedly hoped to get Britney in the ballroom. The plans was to see Britney cheer on her sibling as well as promote her upcoming memoir.
However, those hopes were dashed with Jamie Lynn was surprisingly eliminated very early on. The “Zoey 101” star was sent home during the second week of competition on “DWTS.” Some fans and judges were shocked as she didn’t earn the lowest scores of the night.
DWTS was reportedly desperate to get Britney in the ballroom
“Producers hate that Jamie Lynn has been voted off so early on the show. They really thought that they would have had a chance to get Britney to the ballroom and come to the show to not only support her sister but support her book release,” a source close to the show reportedly stated. “Now neither will happen, and it is a lost opportunity that could have been incredible television,” they added. “If they couldn’t get Britney, they wanted someone in her world to get her in the ballroom.”
Seeing Britney Spears on “Dancing With The Stars” would have been a sight. The exciting appearance could have been huge for the show. However, the relationship between Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears has been rocky to say the least.. Even if Britney were to cheer for her little sis on the show, it seems unlikely that she would have appeared on live TV to do so.
Jamie Lynn Spears opens up about DWTS elimination
After being eliminated from “Dancing With The Stars,” Jamie Lynn Spears took to social media to share her thoughts. She shouted out her partner Alan Bersten for being by her side. She also revealed that she was happy to have the opportunity. Jamie Lynn also had something to say to her fans.
“Yalllllll, I promise I hear and see all the many wonderfully passionate ppl who are not happy with the way things fell tonight, and I appreciate the tremendous amount love and support,” she wrote. “This was an amazing experience, and I’m very happy to have been apart of it, and soooo excited to see all the fabulous contestants and their partners continue to KILL it each week!!!!!”
DWTS fans never got to see Jamie Lynn and Britney Spears reunite in the ballroom. However, Season 32 is already shaping up to be an entertaining one.
