Mauricio Umansky and Emma Slater are speaking out. However, after a week of speculation that the pair may bet getting romantic behind the scenes of “Dancing With The Stars,” they’re setting the record straight. The dancing duo took to social media to clear the air and give fans the truth.
Mauricio Umansky and Emma Slater address dating rumors
On Thursday, October 26, Mauricio Umansky and Emma Slater posted an Instagram story. The “DWTS” partners opened up about the romance rumors. “For full clarity we are not dating,” Umansky, 53, told fans via social media. “We’ve been dancing together now for six weeks, four hours a day every single day,” he added. For her part, Slater revealed that the “Dancing With The Stars” process is an “intense” one and that she and her partner share a “very special bond.”
“We [share] similar personalities,” Slater added. “We’ve got a super supportive relationship. Last week was extremely emotional, so super supportive relationship. We’re definitely there for each other and it’s beautiful. That’s a great thing.”

The dating rumors started when Mauricio Umansky and Emma Slater were seen taking a break from their “Dancing With The Stars” rehearsals. The couple headed to dinner in Beverly Hills. There they were photographed holding hands and look cozy. Meanwhile, Umansky and Slater performed a dance dedicated to his early marriage to wife Kyle Richards during the “DWTS” live show on Tuesday.
Shortly after the photos were released, Richards had a strong reaction. She took to her own social media account to delete a post that supported Umansky and Slater’s “Dancing With The Stars” journey. She later opened up to Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live” about the situation.
“I was taken aback,” Kyle told Andy Cohen. “That was very hard to see. It hurt my feelings. I don’t know if anything has happened yet,” she noted, “But obviously there’s something there and listen, I love him very much—and we are amicable—but that really did hurt me,” she added.

The couple have been candid about their marital issues. They’ve even admitted to being separated.
