Emily In Paris wouldn’t be anything without Emily Cooper

Fans of the show know that it revolves around American Emily Cooper (Lily Collins). The series began with Emily moving to Paris for work and creating a beautiful, albeit dramatic, life for herself abroad. Emily is the heart of the show and everything revolves around her. While she’s made some questionable choices throughout the seasons, she’s still one of the most beloved characters.

Emily In Paris Pierre Cadault

Pierre Cadault is hit-and-miss with fans

Emily In Paris viewers love so many of the characters. However, the character of fashion designer Pierre Cadault seems to have some fans divided. While some can’t get enough of Pierre, others are annoyed by his over-dramatic antics. Pierre is definitely one of Emily’s most difficult clients. However, he often brings a comical element to the storyline. (Who could forget his secret love for Gossip Girl?) However, he does tend to grow on you as you continue to watch the series.

Viewers are torn about Camille

Camille befriended Emily early on in the series. Fans immediately liked her sweet nature. Of course, she was also the obstacle standing in the way of Emily and Gabriel. Slowly, Camille began to show her true colors when she schemed to keep Emily away from Gabriel. In Season 3, things went from bad to worse when she began cheating on Gabriel with an artist from her gallery. The two women sneaked off on romantic retreats, leaving Gabriel at home unsuspecting. She also accepted Gabriel’s marriage proposal, only to leave him at the altar.

Emily In Paris viewers are obsessed with Alfie

Alfie is one of the bright spots in Emily’s world. Sadly, things went downhill quickly when all was revealed about Emily and Gabriel’s relationship. Alfie won over fans almost instantly with his charm and the sweet way he treated Emily. However, in the end, he got his heart broken. (Carrie and Aiden from Sex and The City, anyone?) The character definitely deserved better. Perhaps, he’ll get a happy ending in the future.

Camille’s parents are too much

Camille’s parents always seem to be causing issues during Emily In Paris. At first, her mother is upset that Gabriel won’t take their money to open his own restaurant. Then, she helps Camille plot a way to get Emily out of the picture. Later, she urges Camille to marry Gabriel, even when it’s clear she’s not feeling it. Meanwhile, her father walks around naked, is totally nonchalant, and even cuts off the tip of his finger while trying to show off for the camera.

You can’t help but smile at Julian

Julian is lovable, even when he’s being dramatic. The character is one of Emily’s co-workers and has a knack for getting a bit jealous of her. Whether they’re fighting over clients or bickering over men, Julian and Emily have a best friend/sibling vibe. This means that no matter what happens, they’ll be fine and eventually move past any tension between them.

Doug from Emily in Paris

Doug just isn’t it

Remember Doug? He was Emily’s boyfriend in Chicago. Doug was also less than supportive about Emily moving to Paris. He even refused to come see her after she moved. Emily is definitely better off without him!

Emily In Paris viewers can’t get enough of Sylvie

Seriously, Sylvie is fabulous. Yes, she was hard on Emily in the early days, and still is. However, Sylvie is a strong and experienced woman. She knows what she wants and she goes out and gets it. Whether it’s in her love life or her career, she’s determined. She’s also got a spicy personality and sharp tongue that makes her so much fun to watch.

Madeline can stay in Chicago

We know that Madeline was simply doing her job. However, she never really grasped the flow of life in Paris. She didn’t mesh well with her co-workers, and she seemed a bit limiting when it came to Emily’s career. She eventually went back to Chicago, where she fits in much better. Although, it was fun to watch Sylvie duke it out with her.
