“Empire” was TV’s hottest new show earlier this year, and with Season 2 coming this fall fans are dying to know any spoilers they can. Well, you’re in luck, because the show is about to have a ton of new faces join the Lyon family and everyone will be thrilled with the big names.
‘Empire’ Season 2 Spoilers: Tons of Big Name Guest Stars Coming
According to the IB Times, there will be a ton of huge stars in guest spots during “Empire” Season 2. Some of the names have are ones we all know well, while others will leave you loving them even more after seeing them on the hit Fox show.
Kelly Rowland, former Destiny’s Child singer and Beyonce BFF is set to star as Lucious Lyon’s mother in flashbacks from his troubled childhood.
Marissa Tomei will star as reoccurring character Mimi Whiteman, a lesbian billionaire who will find herself thrust into Empire’s business and drama.
Chris Rock will star as one of Lucious Lyon’s jail mates, and has already reportedly been on set dodging punches from the mogul.
Alicia Keys is set to appear on “Empire” Season 2, but not much is known about her role. She could be playing herself on the show and it’s very likely we’ll hear her amazing vocals on the series as well.
Common will also appear during Season 2, as Lee Daniels recently confirmed to Access Hollywood that the rapper/actor would be making a cameo although he’s buxy on the “Suicide Squad” set as of now.
Lee Daniel’s also confirmed that his friend Oprah Winfrey has also agreed to be apart of Season 2.
Meanwhile, “Magic Mike XXL” star Adam Rodriguez will also appear on the series in it’s sophomore season as Cookie Lyon’s new love interest while Lucious is away in jail.
