Last night’s episode of “Empire” has everyone talking about whether or not Jamal Lyon will die, and if actor Jussie Smollette has been killed off the show.

While “Empire” fans watched Jamal get shot and rushed in to surgery during the new episode, fans were optimistic that Jamal would make it through, as he’s arguably the most beloved character on the series. However, Jussie Smollette’s tweet after the show has viewers in a panic.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time w/ @EmpireFOX. I love you all. Truth. Time 2 make a record & some movies,” Jussie Smollette tweeted after the show aired, and certainly seemed to hint at his character being killed off the series.

Will Jamal Lyon Die On ‘Empire?’

MTO News reports that Jussie Smollette may have been fired from “Empire” due to his high salary demands. “Terrence [Howard] and Taraji [Henson] are the stars of the show, and they are going to be paid paid as stars. But the rest, aren’t going to make huge sums from the show.”

The show is now in Season 2, and one of the hottest shows on TV. It seems that if the series can’t pay its main players that it could all fall apart. Jamal Lyon is one of the most important characters on the series and losing him would be a huge blow to the show.

So far nothing has been confirmed, and Jussie Smollette’s rep has not made a comment about the possibility of Jamal’s death on “Empire.”
