Euphoria Season 3 is highly anticipated by fans. It feels like forever since Season 2 ended, and viewers want to know when new episodes will begin airing on HBO. We finally have an answer. However, it’s definitely disappointing.
When does Euphoria Season 3 come back?
Fans have been waiting patiently for Euphoria Season 3. There were hopes that the show would return in 2023. However, the actors’ busy schedules and the Hollywood strikes put a damper on that. Instead, HBO has announced that Season 3 won’t air until 2025.
Of course, fans aren’t happy about the latest update. It’s nice to know when to expect the next season of the series. However, waiting three years between seasons seems like torture. For those who don’t remember, Season 2 of the show aired in early 2022.
Fans speak out about the long Euphoria gap
Of course, fans had a lot to say about the big news. “I was 27 when season 2 was released, when season 3 comes out I’ll be 31,” one person tweeted. “Haha that’s ridiculous,” another commented. “WTH!? They’re all gonna be 60 by the time the series finale comes around!” a third person stated. “The kids will be in their thirties,” another wrote.
Sadly, “Euphoria” Season 3 isn’t the only HBO series that has been pushed back to 2025. “The White Lotus” Season 3 and “The Last of Us” Season 2 will also be coming that year. In addition, the network’s “IT” prequel series “Welcome To Derry” was also pushed back to 2025.
Big changes for Season 3?
Season 3 of “Euphoria” may need to adapt to the long pause between seasons. Perhaps a time jump will be in order as the cast ha all gotten older and might not want to play high school students. Fans may want to prepare for the fact that Season 3 could be the last for the show. The cast members have gained a lot of fame over the years and stars like Zendaya, Sidney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi may want to focus more on their movie careers going forward.
Unfortunately, one of the biggest changes to the show will be the absence of fan-favorite character Fez. Actor Angus Cloud, who portrayed the character, tragically died in July 2023 at the age of 25. Fans were devastated by the news. Of course, Fez won’t get the ending that he deserves. However, the show can honor his character in other ways.
