Evan Peters is a household name thanks to his roles in American Horror Story and Dahmer. However, before the actor was spooking viewers with his incredible horror content, he actually appeared on The Office, and you totally forgot about it. That’s right, Peters was one of many guest stars who popped into the Dunder Mifflin office throughout the show’s 9 seasons, but his role was one of the funniest.
Die-hard fans of The Office will likely remember that during the Season 7 premiere of the hit NBC series, Evan Peters was hired to work at Dunder Mifflin, and it was later revealed that he had familial ties to manager Michael Scott (Steve Carrell). In the episode, Peters’ character, Luke Cooper, was hired to do intern-level work around the office such as sending out packages and bringing the gang their coffee orders. However, things didn’t work out the way Michael wanted them to.
Evan Peters played Michael Scott’s nephew Luke on The Office
When Luke slacked off, got coffee orders wrong, forgot to send important mail, and even blatantly disrespected Michael during one of his oh-so-important conference room meetings, the boss took matters into his own hands. Michael revealed to his employees that Luke was his nephew, and they urged him to fire the young man. After protesting, Michael snapped at Luke and got physical with his nephew, spanking the young adult in front of everyone in the office.
Evan Peters was great during his cameo on The Office, and the situation also led to another hilarious episode in which Michael is forced to have a therapy session with his co-worker and nemesis Toby Flenderson (Paul Lieberstein). Luke never made another appearance on the show, but fans found the episode to be funny.
Evan Peters also appeared on One Tree Hill before moving to American Horror Story and Dahmer
During Peters’ young career in Hollywood, he not only appeared on The Office, but also made several cameos on One Tree Hill, as well as appeared on shows such as House, Ghost Whisperer, Monk, Criminal Minds, Parenthood, and several more.
Evan Peters has come a long way since his one-episode stint on The Office. However, whether you forgot about his cameo or not, you’re likely to find yourself rolling with laughter the next time you see Michael commit “corporate punishment” on Luke much to the delight of the rest of the office workers like Pam, Jim, Phyllis, and Dwight, who couldn’t stand the actor’s character.
