“Fifty Shades of Grey” fans rejoice. Both of the sequels to the movie, “Fifty Shades Darker” and “Fifty Shades Freed” will be happening according to the movie’s director, Sam Taylor-Johnson confirmed.
‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Sequels Are Happening
According to MTV, the news was first announced with Sam, along with “Fifty Shades” stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, and the author of the book series E.L. James hit New York for the “Fifty Shades First” fan screening event on Friday, and lets just say the fans went wild.
Fans who’ve read all three books know that there is so much more to the “Fifty Shades of Grey” story than is portrayed in the first installment. While the main message of the first film will be love, lust, and of course sex, the second two will dive into Christian Grey’s past and let viewers know exactly why he is the way he is, and why Anastasia Steele is the only one who can help him.
More Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele To Come
Besides, the story just gets so much better, and with “Fifty Shades of Grey” expecting to take the number one spot at the box office this weekend, it looks like everyone will be talking about the film and the upcoming sequels, which haven’t yet filmed or been given release dates.
This is great news for fans, as so many book series will launch only one movie and never film the rest such as “Beautiful Creatures” and “The Mortal Instruments” have recently.
