The first official Fifty Shades of Grey trailer was released on The Today Show on Thursday, but some fans thought that it was too hot for TV.
Fifty Shades of Grey trailer too hot for The Today Show?
The trailer, which features Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, has a lot of sexual content and adult scenes. It’s those scenes that some believed were just too explicit for national daytime television.
Some moms took to social media to complain about the Fifty Shades of Grey trailer airing on The Today Show, which was on in their homes while their children, young and older, were home.
Fifty Shades of Grey controversy?
“I was a bit surprised by how racy the trailer was,” one Ohio mother told us here at Hollywood News Daily. “I like to watch The Today Show in the morning, and my children were waking up and eating breakfast when they aired the clip. I had to change the channel,” she added.
However, some would make the case that Fifty Shades of Grey is known specifically for it’s sexual content, and when it was announced that the trailer would air on The Today Show, parents should have taken it upon themselves to make sure their children didn’t see it.
