Is there a possibility that we may actually get a Season 6 of Fuller House? The show was canceled by Netflix earlier this year after five seasons. However, actress Candance Cameron Bure, who plays DJ Tanner on the show, says that the cast would totally be on board to film more episodes.
Fans watched the Tanner, Fuller, Gibbler clans say goodbye during the May 2020 series finale of the show. At that time, fans were outraged about the cancelation, claiming that the series was not only wholesome and funny, but one that the entire family could watch and enjoy together.
Candace Cameron-Bure wants more ‘Fuller House’
“We would absolutely love it if we could because I think there are so many fun stories to tell with the Fuller House gang. The fifth season premiered this year. So, people are still watching the show that aren’t caught up on Netflix. I still receive daily messages five months later that they’re like, ‘What’s happening with season 6?'” Candace told Us Weekly.
“There’s just so much more there. So, who knows? We can only, you know, cross our fingers and hope that the people who control it would allow us to do it,” she added.
The final episode of the show saw DJ (Cameron-Bure), her younger sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and her best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) all tie the knot in an epic triple wedding, which was officiated by their favorite New Kid On The Block, Joey McEntire.
Before the final curtain call, it was revealed that Kimmy and Stephanie would both be moving out of Danny Tanner’s (Bob Saget) home and away from DJ as they moved on in their lives with their own families.
However, the final moments revealed that they couldn’t bare to be apart, and opted to stay and raise their families together. Another bombshell was dropped when Stephanie revealed she was pregnant with her second child after using Kimmy as a surrogate for her first baby, daughter Danielle.
The finale was left open for the possibility of more episodes
While the show ended nicely, it was left open ended for the possibility of more seasons. Following the finale, the storyline plans for Season 6 dropped, leaving fans even more annoyed about the cancelation.
Following Candace’s comments fans began to share their hope for Fuller House Season 6 online, and are now hoping that Netflix, or another network could bring back the show for more wholesome fun.
