“Game Of Thrones” ending after Season 8? Say it ain’t so! HBO’s President of Programming Michael Lombardo says he only anticipates 3 more seasons of the hit show before it ends its run, and yes, Jon Snow is dead.
‘Game Of Thrones’ Ending After Season 8?
Well, the bad news just keeps coming for “Game of Thrones” fans as the show could very well be ending after Season 8. While we think it’s crazy to end a popular series before all of the stories are full told, we get why a network would want to quit while they’re ahead.
“[Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss] are probably feeling there are two more years after [Season 6],” Michael recently revealed. “Seven seasons and out has never been the conversation. The question is how many beyond the seventh season we’re gonna do.”
Jon Snow Is Dead!
In the “Game of Thrones” Season 5 finale fans were shocked to see that Jon Snow was seemingly killed by the Knight’s Watch, the very group he loved and lead in his own rebel fashion. However, actor Kit Harrington who plays the fan favorite character was seen in Belfast where the series is currently filming Season 6, sparking hopes that Jon Snow might still be alive.
Unfortunately for fans, Michael claims that Jon Snow is dead and the rumors are nothing but talk. “Dead is dead is dead. He be dead,” Lombardo said. “Everything I’ve seen, heard, and read, Jon Snow is dead.”
So, Jon Snow is dead and “Game Of Thrones” ending after Season 8? Not great news to start the week off for “GoT” fans.
