‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Spoilers: 5 WTF Moments From ‘The Door’

Now that we are officially half way through “Game of Thrones” Season 6, there are some serious moves being made in the seven kingdoms, and fans can’t wait to see how it all plays out. Meanwhile, we’ve got the 5 biggest WTF moments from the episode, titled “The Door.” [Warning: Spoilers below.]

1.) The New King — The iron islands is just about the last place we’d want to live, and now with Baylon Greyjoy’s death, a new king must be named. Of course, Yara wanted the honor, and with Theon’s support she would have likely been named Queen, but her uncle, Euron had to ruin it for her. Euron was named the new king of the Iron Islands, and Yara and Theon were forced to flee, taking the ships with him, before Euron had a chance to kill them both.

2.) Sansa Is A Bad-Ass: Sansa Stark has come a long way. Now that she’s free of Ramsay Bolton and back with Jon Snow, Sansa is really coming in to her own. During the most recent “Game of Thrones” episode, Sansa finally comes face to face with Little Finger, and tells him exactly what she thinks of him, refusing his help, and tell him that she never wants to see his face again.

3.) White Walkers Explained: During Bran and the Three-Eyed Raven’s warging adventures, Bran is shown how the White Walkers were created, and it’s pretty crazy. The Children of the Forrest actually used their magic to create the first White Walker, the Night King, to help them fight back against the human race, who were waging war against them. When the Night King touches Bran, he marks him, and then sets out with his army to find and kill him.

2.) Quoth The Three-Eyed Raven, Nevermore: During the White Walkers attack on Bran and his group, the Three-Eyed Raven is killed. He has taught Bran all he can, and knows his time has come.

1.) Hodor’s Story Revealed, Heartbreak Ensues: Hodor’s story is finally told. While Bran is warging in the past in Winterfell, he sees a young and talkative Hodor, whom he’s forced to Warg into. Hodor is trying to save Bran, and has to hold the door, keeping the undead ice zombies inside, and given Bran a chance to escape. However, flashbacks to a young Hodor reveal that he began to have a seizure and say “Hold the door,” which turned into “Hodor,” the only phrase he could say thereafter, and Bran realized that he had caused Hodor’s condition. We don’t see Hodor die, but it is implied that he’s gone, breaking “Game of Thrones” fans’s hearts.
