The Game of Thrones Season 7 premiere as basically amazing. Fans have been waiting for so long for the hit HBO series to return, and now it’s officially back. Fans tuned in on Sunday night to find out what happens next with all their favorite characters, and they were not disappointed.
We’re recapping the six best moments from the Game of Thrones Season 7 premiere, and they are all epic in their own way. Of course, these moments are setting up fans for some huge storylines in the coming episodes, and we can’t wait!
1.) Arya’s mass killing: Arya Stark is no joke when it comes to killing her enemies. The youngest Stark sister took out the entire Frey family in one swoop in the opening scene of the Game of Thrones Season 7 premiere. Arya, wearing Walder Frey’s face, poisoned the entire family, and it was awesome! Next on her hit list…Cersei Lannister. She’s currently in route to King’s Landing to kill the Queen!
2.) Jon and Sansa’s family feud: While the North is united in fighting against their common enemies, there is a bit of shakiness when it comes to Jon Snow and Sansa Stark’s relationship. The siblings (at least they believe they are!) have different ideas on how to go about certain things. Although Sansa told Jon he was a born leader, it seems that she’s got a bit of envy for Cersei, who has let no one and nothing stop her from getting exactly what she wants. Perhaps Sansa is becoming the next Cersei?
3.) Euron’s mission: Euron Greyjoy arrived at King’s Landing with all of his ships in tow in hopes of impressing Cersei Lannister and making her his wife. Euron revealed to the Queen that he would gladly give his ships and men in the upcoming fight if Cersei became his wife. Of course, she denied his proposal, but Euron’s not taking no for an answer. He’s set out to bring her the finest gift in all the land, and when he returns he expects to make her his bride. Is another Game of Thrones wedding in the works? They’ve all been so fun up to this point!
4.) The Hound’s road trip: The Hound is currently still traveling with The Brotherhood and he’s quickly becoming one of them. The Hound saw a vision in the flames from the Lord of Light, and it appears that he’ll be fitting in nicely with the group.
5.) Sam’s big moment: Sam is seen for the first time doing the grunt work at the Citadel. He’s serving food, putting away books in the library, and emptying and cleaning bed pans. It’s serious disgusting. However, Game of Thrones viewers watched as Sam, who is apparently now a bad ass rebel, stole the keys to the restricted section and found something huge. Sam uncovered the fact that there is a ton of dragonglass buried underneath Dragonstone, and sent Jon a raven with the big news. Way to go, Sam!
6.) Dany’s homecoming: Daenerys Targaryen’s ship finally reached land and the first place she went was back to her family’s former home, Dragonstone. Dany, her advisers and army scoped out the place in silence, until she uttered the final words of the Game of Thrones Season 7 premiere, “Shall we begin?” she asks Tyrion Lannister as they look over a war map. Yes, girl!
Honorable mention: Ed Sheeran singing and smiling at Arya was also a pretty great moment!
