“Game of Thrones” Season 6 spoilers have been few and far between, but with the cast pumping up the excitement by revealing plot twists and constant action, fans can hardly wait to see what it holds. One theory is that both Tyrion Lannister and Jon Snow could actually be Targaryen’s.
‘Game of Thrones’ Fan Theory: Tyrion & Jon Snow Targaryen’s?
According to IB Times, the “Game of Thrones” book series may offer some clues in to the theory that both Tyrion Lannister and Jon Snow are both actually Targaryen born, which would be a huge plot change for the show and really alter the way that fans watch the series from now on.
The report claims that in the books the Mad King, Aerys Targaryen attended Tywin and Joanna’s wedding and claimed that it was a pity the law about the king getting the first night with the bride was abolished. Being the Mad King and all the theory is that since Aerys wanted Joanna, he eventually got her in bed, which resulted in the birth of Tyrion Lannister. (Remember, it’s only a fan theory…but oh the possibilities!)
Meanwhile, the site also reveals the big theory that Jon Snow could also be a Targaryen. In the “Game of Thrones” books, the Tower of Joy is where Ned Stark found his sister Lyanna in a pool of blood. Ned then makes her a promise before she dies, but this is only shown in Ned’s dream and he wakes up before the promise is revealed.

Some “Game of Thrones” fans believe that the pool of blood was from child birth and that Lyanna actually gave birth to the baby now known as Jon Snow and that Prince Rhaegar Targaryen fathered him, and knowing that the baby would be slaughtered by Robert Baratheon announced that the baby was his illegitimate child to save his life.
Many believe that Jon Snow’s parentage could be addressed in “Game of Thrones” Season 6. However, if the theories of Jon Snow being a Targaryen are true then it will sure crush some fans who are dying for Jon and Daenerys to meet and possibly fall for one another. Either way, it looks like it’s possible that Jon and Daenerys could end up ruling over Westeros after all.
