George Clooney is officially a father! The actor and his wife, Amal Clooney, welcomed their twins on Tuesday morning, and mother and babies are doing just fine according to the actor’s rep.
Deadline reports that George Clooney and wife Amal have welcomed their twins, whom they have named Ella and Alexander Clooney. All three are doing great, but the same may not be said for George, who was jokingly said to be “recovering” from the birth.
“This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine. George is sedated and should recover in a few days,” Clooney’s rep Stan Rosenfield said.
News of the couple’s pregnancy broke back in February as Julie Chen confirmed the big news on The Talk. Shortly after the actor’s mother, Nina Clooney, proudly revealed that he was about to welcome a little boy and a little girl to his family, and that she couldn’t be happier about becoming a grandmother.
While George Clooney has come a long way since marrying Amal, but fans don’t expect the family to be too open after the birth of their twins. In fact, it seems safe to say that the new parents will keep their babies out of the spotlight, at least for now. However, fans are also hoping that the’ll do a photoshoot to introduce their twins to the world, because fans can’t wait to see who the babies look like!
