George Clooney is revealing some very personal details about his private life with his wife Amal and their three-year-old twins Ella and Alexander. Yahoo News reports that while Clooney’s marriage status is all good he reveals there are a few things he “didn’t see coming.”
During George Clooney’s promotional press tour for the actor/director’s latest project, Netflix’s The Midnight Sky, Clooney stopped by Jimmy Kimmel to share a few details.
The topic quickly veered from George’s new project to get to the nitty-gritty about Clooney’s marriage and family and how they have all been navigating 2020’s COVID-19 and quarantining.
George Clooney admits parenting blunder
Not one to usually divulge too many details when it comes to his private life. George did open up a bit. He revealed that in the past three years, he and Amal admit to making one “really dumb” parenting mistake.
“We did a really dumb thing, which is, they speak fluent Italian,” He reveals. “I mean fluent Italian at three. But I don’t speak Italian, my wife doesn’t speak Italian, so we’ve armed them with a language.
“I’ll say, ‘Go back in and clean your room,’ and they’ll be like, ‘Eh, papa stranzo,’” he continued, while using an Italian accent. “I’m from Kentucky; English is a second language to me.”

When asked how he and Amal have been handled life when under quarantine. The “Oceans Thirteen” hitmaker laughed and said he had been getting in touch with his domestic side.
“Laundry and mopping and dishes. I wood-stained the entire house,” he said, though he wasn’t sure about the results when Kimmel asked if he did a good job. “Probably not, but it kept me busy for a while. It kept me out of the room with the kids speaking Italian.”
The actor also claims he has honed in on his cooking skills claiming he is the family chef.
” My wife, she does amazing things. She gets journalists out of jail in countries like Azerbaijan and Egypt, but when it comes to cooking, she makes reservations. She went to hard-boil an egg once, and she put the egg in the pan and turned the stove on without any water in the pan.”
Touching on his relationship with Amal. George Clooney reveals that having Amal in his life changed “everything” for him.
“It was the first time that everything that she did and everything about her was infinitely more important than anything about me. And then we had these two knuckleheads. It is very fulfilling and something I wasn’t at all…didn’t see coming.”
