Gilligan’s Island fans were stunned to see actress Tina Louise in a rare public appearance looking as beautiful as ever at 84 according to MSN.
Tina Louise is best known for her role as the “Movie Star” Ginger on the hit 60’s classic television sitcom “Gilligans’ Island.” Louise was spotted out and about in Los Angeles on Tuesday for a night on the town. The “Gilligans’ Island” star turned heads wearing a beautiful floral navy blue midi dress featuring her TV character’s love for low-cut necklines. At 84, the actress still manages to catch the eye of all around her.

Tina Louise still keeps her hair the same shade of red as she did throughout her TV career. She was also joined by a male companion who made sure to treat Louise with the gentlemanly respect she has always garnered. Louise began her signature role on as Ginger Grant on “Gilligans’ Island” back in 1964 starring in all three seasons of the beloved classic hit. However, Louise chose not to revise the role in 1977 for the film, “Rescue From Gilligans’ Island.

The original cast members included Bob Denver, as Gilligan. Denver passed away in 2005 from complications of Pneumonia at the age of 70-years-old. Alan Hale, portrayed the Skipper, he also passed away at age 68 from thymus cancer. Russell Johnson, best known as The Professor” died in 2014 at 89 from kidney failure.

Jim Backus, AKA as Thurston Howell passed away at age 76 from complications of pneumonia. His TV wife and close friend Natalie Shafer, also known as Mrs. Howell, or “Lovey” died at age 93, from liver cancer in 1991.
This brings us to the two surviving castaways which include, Tina Louise, and Dawn Wells,79, who played that coconut pie baking Mary Ann. Both Louise and Wells have continued to work post their “Gilligans’ Island” fame.
In 2014, Dawn Wells released “What Would Mary Ann Do? A Guide to Life,” which she co-wrote with Steve Stinson. The book was released to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Gilligan’s Island. While Tina Louise’s last project was in 2017 in the film “Tapestry.”
