“Girl Meets World” viewers watched on Friday night as Shawn Hunter and his ex-girlfriend Angela Moore finally reunited after over 10 years.
‘Girl Meets World’: Shawn and Angela Reunite
The episode, titled “Girl Meets Hurricane,” started off with Shawn and Maya having a bonding moment at Topanga’s place while Cory and Riley watched. Maya then told Shawn to give her some fatherly advice, and after being pressured he finally blurted out that he thinks Maya should dress differently.
Maya started to cry, but it was because she believed no one ever cared enough about her to tell her something like that. Shawn then offered to buy Maya some new clothes and the girls went shopping with Cory and Shawn. Maya and Shawn have another moment and then return to Topanga’s.
Later, Shawn includes Maya’s mom, Katie, in the gift giving, telling Maya that the clothes are from both himself and Katie. Just as Shawn and Katie seem to be getting along an unexpected visitor came along, Shawn’s former love, Angela.
‘Girl Meets World’: Shawn and Katie Growing Closer
Angela tells Shawn that her father has died and asks him if he can still feel his father’s presence with him. He says he can and then Angela gets to the real reason she’s come to see him. Angela reveals that she is now married to a military man and he wants to have children with her, but she’s scared she won’t be a good mom because her own mom left her at a young age.
Shawn is the only one that understands Angela’s situation as his mother also left him when he was young. Shawn tells Angela that she’ll be a great mom, and that she shouldn’t fear the change. Angela then tells Shawn that he should’t fear change either, meaning he should take a chance with Katie and Maya.
Later, Katie asks Shawn out on a date and his father shows up to nudge him to go out with her. Maya is thrilled and Shawn accepts the date. Maya couldn’t be happier as it seems Shawn and Katie may be falling for each other.
