God Of War is a beloved franchise that has transcended generations. God Of War: Ragnarok, the latest installment in the franchise, has sold over 15 million copies worldwide across the PS4 and PS5. An Epiloge to Ragnarok
God Of War Ragnarok: Valhalla will be an epilogue to the main game’s events according to Blog.playstation.com. Players will control Kratos as he goes on a journey of deep self-reflectiveness. Set after the huge battle against Odin and the departure of Atreus, Kratos finds himself on the shores of Valhalla. The former God Of War will explore the depths to overcome the trials within himself and face his past.
The team at Santa Monica Studios stated that they wanted to challenge themselves to make something different than they had ever made before in the GOW franchise. Valhalla stays true to the combat players known from the God Of War franchise, but it also incorporates some surprises along the way. This will force players to master all of Kratos’ arsenal as there will be many different combinations of enemies.
In Valhalla, death is not the end of a warrior’s spirit. If Kratos is defeated he will reawaken outside the doors ready for another go. Each attempt will grant the players more experience and knowledge that will be needed to progress. These lesions will help players understand what mysteries await Kratos within.

A New Challenge Awaits
Kratos will have to cast aside his armor and equipment and instead build towards them both per attempt. Kratos will have access to all his weapons and his skills at all times but must commit to a shield and path of Spartan Rage for each attempt. As players progress through Valhalla they will have to make choices for what stats to upgrade, what perks to use, and what Runic Attacks to wield. Wise choices and the ability to adapt will be key,
God Of War is an iconic video game. With many installments, players are fiercely loyal to their favorite god slayer. From his hot-headed younger days all the way to his stoic fatherhood era. Kratos has some of the best character development in the gaming industry and it is rewarding to watch him grow as a father. God Of War Ragnarok: Valhalla is set to release on December 12th of 2023!
