Recently, E! Online asked Katherine if she would ever considering returning to Grey’ Anatomy to revive Izzie Stevens, and her response was hopeful. The actress appeared to be conflicted about whether or not it would be the right move for all involved. However, she didn’t rule it out.

“You know, I just…I don’t know. But I would never say never,” she admitted.

This is a big step for Katherine, who has been closed off to the idea in the past. However, In Season 16 of the medical drama, Izzie’s name was brought up quite a bit when it was shocking revealed that Alex had left his wife, Jo Wilson, in order to be with his former wife, Izzie.
