Last month HBO Max confirmed that their newest and highly anticipated series will be released on Janeralty 15th, 2023. That series is The Last Of Us live-action TV show starring Pedro Pascal as Joel Miller and Bella Ramsey as Ellie Williams.
The Last of us show will be based on The Last Of Us Part 1 which was a game that came out in 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and then was remastered for the PlayStation 4 in 2014. Fast forward to the present The Last Of Us Part 1 has been remade to fit the modern-day standard for gaming and to create hype for the upcoming TV series.
Just a few days ago the internet was set ablaze as a new trailer for The Last Of Us show was launched showing more of Pedro and Rasmey and even some of their infected adversaries as well as the human ones.
Huge Reveal
The biggest reveal of the whole trailer came in the last few seconds as through the hordes of infected and fire came arguably the most dangerous form of the infection known as a Bloater. Twitter had a field day with this reveal as everyone has been waiting to see what the infected would look like in live action and you can see for yourself as the trailer is linked here.
Being able to see these crazy infected in live action will be huge for The Last Of Us’ community as fans have often talked about what these monsters would look like in real life. Now in a little more than a month, we will know for sure as hype for the series is at an all-time high after this amazing trailer. For those who have played the game, we know that Joel and Ellie’s journey west will not be an easy one as they have to fight through the elements, the infected, and other humans.
Setting The Bar
Season one will be 10 episodes long and follow the first game with a few deviations from the game to spice the show up a little but it will follow the game fairly closely for the most part. Everyone wants this to be the breakthrough in video game movie/TV adaptations and as of right now it looks like it will set the bar for future projects. The Last Of Us will air on HBO Max starting January 15th, 2023, and is sure to be a must-watch for all fans of the games.
